  • Dixie Bonte of Hot Springs Village, passed away June 8, 2018. She was born February 26, 1949 in Newton, Iowa to Ray and Mary Lou Nichol.

    She is survived by her husband Rick Bonte; son Steffan Paul (Angie), of Wichita, Kansas; and brother, Doug Nichol (Suzy), of Holland, Ohio.

    A visitation/sharing at CedarVale Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 9- 10 a.m.   Interment to follow at Cedar Vale Cemetery.

    Dixie was a friend of mine in high school in Newton. She was always a happy, smiling presence, and even though we didn't see each other much after graduation, we kept in touch through Facebook. My sincere condolences to all of her family. Rest In Peace, Dixie.

    I am deeply saddened to hear of Dixie's passing. I am a friend of Dixie's, from Newton. I will miss her jokes on Facebook and remember times I spent with her growing up. My deepest condolenced.

    Rick and family, we are so sorry to learn about the loss of Dixie, she and I were the closest of friends in high school, and we reconnected on Facebook later. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and family.

    So sorry to hear about Dixie. I know we haven't seen each other in a long time. I'm Cathy's Bonte Manusos oldest daughter. I remember when I was young and we had the Bonte get together's in Belmond. We always had a great time. God bless.

    Rick, I am so sorry to hear of Dixie's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time. I'm glad I had the opportunity to be around her a few times before you moved to Arkansas. I remember her fondly.

    Rick, My condolences. I have such sadness with Dixie's passing on. I know it is very difficult to deal with the loss of a life partner. My wish that you are able to handle the sorrow, begin what will seem like a different life and continue to experience an active interesting life. Tom Wilson
